Dr. DS Rana is Chairman and Managing Director of Rana Group and its group of companies. Under his leadership the group has expanded domestically and internationally into automobiles, agriculture, information technology, aerospace, aviation, satellite and space, e-mobility, hydrogen fuel cell buses, biofuel buses and vehicle charging stations.
He holds an Honorary Doctorate — Doctor of Philosophy — conferred by a European university for his specialisation in elite technologies, business, innovation and international collaboration. Across his career he has worked from start-ups through to large listed companies.
His focus on ESG and the circular economy is the defining feature of the group’s “smart hub” industrial model: the argument that the take–make–dispose linear economy is no longer viable, and that industrial growth can instead be regenerative.
Director
An engineering graduate with a Master’s in business administration. A founding member and director of the Rana Group companies, he has built his career within the family enterprise and supports the board in decision-making and group operations.
Group President & COO
B.Tech from Punjab Agricultural University, PGDMM from Delhi and an Executive MBA from ISB Hyderabad. Thirty years in the tractor industry with TAFE, Eicher, New Holland and ITL – Sonalika, most recently heading the Solis brand at International Tractors Limited.
Executive Director
An engineering graduate with an MBA in marketing and more than 25 years with global leaders in agricultural machinery including CLAAS and TAFE. With the company since its inception in 2019, leading commercial teams against client requirements.
Rana Holdings Limited holds the group’s international programmes from Abu Dhabi. Its executive bench is drawn from listed operators and tier-one contractors across the GCC.
Chief Operating Officer
Forty years delivering construction projects worth billions of AED, with leadership roles at Habtoor Leighton Group, Specon KSA, Entire MEP and Al Dhafra Recycling Industries — covering P&L, general management and strategic operational planning.
Programme Director
Thirty years delivering major infrastructure and social-investment programmes across the UK and UAE, with senior roles at Emaar Properties, Habtoor Leighton Group, Mair Group and Skanska UK, including public-private initiative structures.
